HeatingConsultant.ca exists for one job: helping the owner of a heating company decide next year in writing before it begins. We work with furnace, boiler and heat-pump companies in every province and territory, and every engagement produces the same thing, a written annual growth plan with monthly targets and the reasoning behind them.

The company

HeatingConsultant.ca is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, that serves clients across Canada. Sedighi.ca is the consulting company through which Ali Sedighi works on growth, marketing and technology, and it carries several brands, among them HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca. Its sister firm SAZ.ca, short for Strategy & Acceleration Zone, advises Canadian businesses on strategy, AI and revenue acceleration, with Ali as its founder.

Within that group, HeatingConsultant.ca is the planning desk for heating companies. When a plan recommends marketing work, HVAC.Agency can carry it out, but nothing in the plan depends on you hiring us for anything else.

Ali Sedighi, MBA

Ali Sedighi holds an MBA in Technology Management and has 17+ years of experience, beginning in 2007, when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver.

Beyond ONE.ir, he started Conv.ca, which specialises in conversion-rate optimisation, and MyAutomation.ca, and he serves as Founder & Managing Partner of SAZ.ca. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai, and has built 150+ live HVAC websites, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca, RomaHeating.ca and CanroHeat.ca.

That background is why the plans lean on numbers. Building and measuring that many heating websites shows, again and again, that a lead is only valuable if someone can answer it, quote it and install it. The plan starts from that.

How we work

The approach is steady and deliberate, and it rests on four habits.

  1. Your numbers first. We build every plan from your own invoices, dispatch records and agreement lists. Industry averages are used only to sense-check, never to set targets.
  2. Assumptions in plain view. Every target in the plan states the assumption behind it, so you can change one number and see what follows.
  3. Capacity before marketing. We work out what the crews can deliver before we suggest what to spend. Marketing that outruns capacity costs money and reputation.
  4. Checkpoints on the calendar. A plan without review dates is a wish. Each plan carries four to six dates when actuals are compared with targets.

Consultations run in person or by video call. Phone, text and email work too. There are no forms to fill in and no sales funnel. See the services overview for the five chapters of the plan.

What we are not

We are not an HVAC contractor. We never install, repair or service furnaces, boilers or heat pumps, and we never compete with our clients for a job. Our work is business and marketing consulting; it is not engineering, mechanical design, inspection or code-compliance work, and it is not legal, tax or accounting advice. Where a plan touches licensing, safety or program eligibility, we link to the regulator or administrator so you can check it yourself. Each province page lists the relevant bodies.

Why an annual plan, and why heating

Heating companies have one of the most seasonal calendars of any trade. The money is made in a few months, the decisions that shape those months are made long before, and the cost of getting them wrong lands all at once. A written plan moves those decisions to the calm part of the year.

Heating is also changing quickly. Fuel switching, new rebate programs and the spread of heat pumps mean that last year's job mix is a weaker guide to next year than it used to be. An owner who plans annually can adjust to those shifts on purpose. You can see the kind of results this thinking supports on the results page.

Starting a conversation

If you would like a plan for next year, call, text or email with your company name, province and a rough sense of last season. The contact page explains what to send and what happens next.

Frequently asked questions

Who will I actually deal with?

The plans are written under Ali Sedighi, MBA, who founded the business. You deal with a senior strategist from the first call, not a sales team.

Are you an HVAC contractor?

No. We do not install, repair or service heating equipment. HeatingConsultant.ca offers business and marketing consulting to heating companies, and none of it is engineering, mechanical design, inspection or code-compliance work.

How is HeatingConsultant.ca related to HVAC.Agency?

Both belong to the Sedighi.ca group. HeatingConsultant.ca writes the annual growth plan; HVAC.Agency can run the marketing the plan calls for, if you want it to.

Do we have to meet in person?

No, but you can. We meet in person or by video call, work by phone, text and email, and share documents electronically, so location in Canada makes no difference.
